About the
Project

The Goodlife Health Club App was designed as a mobile exercise assistant to support Australians—particularly those in rural areas—in leading healthier and more active lifestyles. Developed as part of a UX design project, the app sought to combine the professional expertise of Goodlife Health Clubs with modern UX principles, creating a digital platform that promotes fitness, mental well-being, and community connection. The goal was to offer personalised workout guidance, progress tracking, and accessible health resources, while also fostering motivation through social interaction and professional support.

Problem

Many Australians, especially those living in rural areas, face significant barriers to maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. Limited access to gyms, professional trainers, and mental health resources contributes to growing issues such as obesity and depression. Existing fitness apps often fail to address these challenges, offering generic workout plans that lack personalisation, accessibility, or meaningful community support. Users also struggle with fragmented experiences, where tracking, guidance, and motivation are spread across multiple apps or platforms, making it difficult to build consistency.

Solution

The Goodlife Health Club App was designed as an all-in-one digital fitness companion that bridges the gap between professional guidance and everyday accessibility. The app delivers personalised workout recommendations tailored to individual fitness levels and goals, supported by progress tracking tools and motivational reminders. Community features encourage users to connect, share achievements, and engage in group workouts, while certified trainers provide expert advice and support. By integrating these features, mental health resources, and social motivation into a single platform, the app creates a holistic, user-centred experience.
