Kigusuri is a Japanese organic herbal medicine brand rooted in the traditions of Kampo and holistic wellness. This project involved creating the brand from the ground up — including its logo, packaging, and full visual identity — before translating it into a responsive Single Page Application (SPA) e-commerce platform. The website was designed to embody the brand’s values of purity, balance, and natural healing, providing a calm and trustworthy space where users can discover and purchase herbal remedies. By combining branding, design, and development in one unified project, Kigusuri was brought to life as both a digital platform and a cohesive brand experience.

Problem

People living with chemical sensitivities, drug allergies, or Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) often struggle to find safe and reliable treatment options. Mainstream health platforms can feel overwhelming, impersonal, or lacking in transparent product details, making it difficult for users to feel confident about what they are consuming. At the same time, many herbal medicine brands suffer from outdated digital design and weak branding, which can erode trust and fail to resonate with health-conscious or eco-conscious audiences. The challenge was to create a modern, accessible, and authentic brand experience that clearly communicates safety, quality, and cultural credibility while offering a smooth, user-friendly shopping journey.

Solution

The solution was to design and develop an elegant, user-friendly Single Page Application (SPA) that combines secure e-commerce functionality with a calming, culturally authentic aesthetic. The Kigusuri website allows users to filter products by symptoms and access clear ingredient and usage information to support safe decision-making. To build a trustworthy identity, the brand was developed entirely from scratch, including the creation of a minimalist logo, eco-conscious packaging design, and a cohesive visual system inspired by Japanese traditions of harmony, purity, and balance. By integrating branding, design, and development into one holistic approach, the project delivered not only a functional Full-stack website but also a complete and authentic brand ecosystem.
